flowers are a language
"Dites le avec des fleurs !” It is almost a command and imperative tone is joyful, so what can you say what can you say with these flowers?
Flowers are joyful, loving, convalescent, melancholic, festive. They also make it possible to say what cannot be said. In difficult moments we also offer flowers, as a gesture to say that we are that we are thinking of the other person, that we support them. They are silent
and yet they tell us so much, flowers have a language, they are a language. Each one of them has a meaning, depending on their number, the meaning can be reversed or changed. By combining different species in a bouquet, it is an even more complex message that can be elaborated. They can be deciphered as secret speech, subliminal messages.
Extremely codified, the meaning changes according to cultures, yet flowers, companions of life can have a broader message depending on the moments moments when they are offered or staged. Joy, youth, passing time, melancholy, freedom, sadness, rebirth are emotions that we understand through these flowers. Voluntarily, here are some excerpts from films of different nationalities, genres and periods, that tell the story of flowers.
